Uhm, I guess that this is my masochistic side taking action. But it just wanted to be written. Now I can concentrate on card games, duh.

I hope you like writing Des/Charlie when you get round to it. They were my OTP for so long but I've not written them (together at least) for 6 months now. I think that I needed closure because their story was just too tragic. I still love to read Des/Charlie stories though when they pop up, though they are very hard to come by these days. Bring on the card game! Charlie and Des are both players in that so it'll tide me over. Maybe my favourite bruthas will keep the peace between Sawyer and Michael.
The kiss worried me a little actually, only because it made me think of Jack marrying Sarah after he saved her and we know how badly that turned out. It felt fitting but not exactly happy, because I suspected Jack feelings for Boone were based purely on his issues. I guess I shouldn't bitch about the "Jack can't let go" issue too much since it was his determination that brought Charlie back after Ethan hung him. I actually read a very-angsty fanfic (again, like this one) where Charlie suffers brain damage after the hanging and poor Jack has to carry the burden of resposibility again. D
Oh, I'm blathering again!

Well, the kissing actually kinda implied also that Jack couldn't do it also because he had had some kind of very closeted feelings before and it all came together with the issues et all. But thing was, I had started with the idea of the kissing in the end, then I had doubts exactly because of what you said there and I feared it would come off to his Sarah issues, then I re-read the thing and thought screw it and go with the kissing, I really felt too bad for Boone already ;) and btw, Jack reviving Charlie is one of my favorite scenes ever. Jack's stubborness with his patience is kind of a blessing, I have to say ;)
With a story like that I can bet on it! Hey, it took me five months to get around writing mine, and it's been toast for three seasons now ;) the fic, I think I had read that but I need to get in the mood. Re-reading never hurts ;) About Des/Charlie, I'll definitely do it one of these days. I mean, I love it and I read ridiculous amounts of it, I guess it's a matter of time. And you know, I don't think they'll need to keep the peace, if the idea I have works out. I've got it almost all plotted, it's the next thing I'm working on.

It's sad that we don't see that concern for a single human life on the show anymore. I felt really sad looking at that old Chesmond story because - silly me! - I actually showed the characters caring about Charlie. In the show it was just like "Look, sorry Charlie is dead, but lets load up on guns and get on with the action". No one will ever pray for Charlie on that show, they don't even have the respect to give him a funeral.
Okay, I'm bitter blathering now.

Curiouser and curiouser...

It's like saving people is the only thing that can really make him happy.
Agreed. And I love myself some happy Jack, even if right now happy Jack is... uhm... a counter-sense? I hope it's the right word, duh, right now my English is failing me ;)
Uhm, maybe you want to see the promo pic I just posted? I'm not saying it means that they've given him a funeral, but I think it implies that someone has been talking about Charlie.... (and it's a scene I've written two times LOL... and months ago *iz scared of sharing some brain with the writers*)

Oh...you had me all excited then. Until I actually saw the picture. Sorry, I know it's something you have been wanting to see, but where as your fics give Charlie due acknowledgement, I doubt the show will. It looks more like a scene where they show off Sawyer's sensitive side, than a Charlie mourning scene.
Most people are predicting that Sawyer is seranding Claire and Aaron. So Claire will probably be more smiley and gleeful than the time she got to make Sawyer a cup of coffee. Where has Sawyer got this guitar from anyway? Charlie's guitar is back at the camp, right? Or maybe Charlie left it in the jungle after the Naomi rescue and they'll find it...but it's still broken. It got hit by an arrow. But made the island healed it? *rolls eyes*. I wanna cry because Charlie played guitar and was sweet to Claire/Aaron so many times, but if Sawyer swoops in and does it once he will get 10 times more credit and appreciation for it.
Sorry. Anyway, I HOPE it is a tribute to Charlie in some fashion, but I know to prepare myself for the worst these days. It feels like Charlie's story is being divided up between those bloody love triangle characters - Sawyer's got his guitar, Jack's got his drug addiction, Kate's got his surrogate love of Aaron. *smashes plates over Darltons head*

SPOILER FOR THE EPISODE FOR ANYONE WHO COULD BE SKIMMING COMMENTS FYI
from what I gathered Sawyer, Claire/Aaron and Miles are hiking back to the beach from Locke's camp so where the heck did he find the guitar would be an interesting thing to see. Mh, maybe Charlie left it there after DOC and they find it? Even if Sawyer gets to play it they'll have at least to mention him. I mean, it's not like you find new guitars in the jungle even there. I think that whether Sawyer gets credit it won't be because he plays to Claire but because he would have something to do, since he's been like, doing nothing except getting slapped by Kate all season *rolls eyes too*. And don't feel sorry, I get that. It's just that I had the exactly same scene done twice not counting another one which will never see the light of the day since I had written it this summer and every time I look at the draft I want to totally ditch it (it was a thing where Sawyer went to play guitar on Charlie's grave) and when you write scenes they have in the show three months before it's always a nice sensation and all. Anyway if you want to see the thing for yourself there are a good load of promos on DocArtz's blog, that's the only guitar one but looks like an interesting episode. Good observation about the splitting of Charlie's story between those three, that has a sense. Anyway, let's cross fingers and hope for the best.. it'd be good if they used it to do some tribute. Also because after episode 9 I think I'll just want to cry.

Last time Charlie's guitar was seen was in the Naomi trek. He put it down in the grass when they were getting Naomi down from the tree. We haven't seen it since, but it makes sense for Charlie to have left it since it was broken and he was gonna die soon, etc.
If they find Charlie's guitar couldn't Miles do a ghost communication from it?
looks like an interesting episode
Hmn. Due to my growing dislike of the triangle and more recently Claire I'm sorta dreading this episode. I don't think I'll watch it. Just the idea of Juliet and Kate settling their differences so they can both play nursemaid to a swooning Jack makes me want to throw up six times.
Sorry...the triangle brings out the bitch in me!
If the Sawyer/guitar scene doesn't happen on the show can you make sure you fanfic it for us at least? It sound like it has given you lots of ideas and I reckon you'll handle the scene better than the writers anyway.

I'm totally losing interest in Claire but I have to write her for one of the philosophy prompts so if I get to see her at least it will be good for that, though I could totally do without. The Kate nurse makes me throw up too, though.

Erm, if you asked me whether I'd go out on a movie night with Boone I'd have given you the same answer ;) if it doesn't happen I'll sure do it, no question. I'll do it even if it happens, I think ;)

If Miles chats to Charlie I hope Charlie's first words are "Screw you, Claire, you heartless bitch. I'm seriously hot in the afterlife but we are sooo over." Maybe that'll fit your Claire prompt *grins*. I'll look forward to your guitar fic. I like Sawyer better in your stories.
