"Really... more BSG?"
So my friend David (Heather, you may remember him from high school drama/play writing) begun watching Battlestar this weekend.
I just thought his reactions were so awesome I wanted to share them. It almost makes me wish I had the BSG innocence to go back and rewatch with no clue what was going on.
I'm loving it so far -- the acting is surprisingly really top-notch. You always figure with space-adventure type shows that they just hire some cheapo cast, but everyone is really good, especially Edward James Olmos (Adama) and whoever the Englishman is who plays Baltar. I especially like those two, and....the Chief mechanic dude, I think his name's Tyrol....and Callie is his little crony, right? You don't see too much of her early on. (I'm still gathering everyone's name) Is Billy the President's little nerdy pal? And is Duella the chick who he's currently involved in awkward flirtations with? By the time you write me back, I'll probably be better acquainted with them all....
33 was amazing. Freaky concept, that the Cylons keep chasing them through their lightspeed jumps, every 33 minutes. I could literally feel their exhaustion. Then I watched Water, the second one, and I'm still trying to figure out if the Boomer on board Galactica knows she's a Cylon and is just fucking with Tyrol and everyone, or if she's "programmed" or something -- and likewise with the one on Caprica who's rescuing Helo... is this a trap or does she really believe she IS Boomer (I can't remember her real name...) And Baltar, I'm loving Baltar. He seems like he could be the Ben Linus of this show...(y'know, is he good? Is he bad? Or is he just a selfish prick?) And Starbuck's pretty funny....boy, there's way too much to go on and on about. Mainly, so far, I really like Adama and the President (Roslin? I feel like that's right....)
Now just waiting for the Superbowl to end so I can have me some Office.
