I particularly love how Clara is juxtaposed with Art and the Chair-as-religious-icon, it reminds me very much of Vincent fighting off the blind monster with a chair and an easel. And Clara's latest "kids" are named Angie and Artie, another union of the Art/Religion ship.

OK, useless at forming a coherent comment. But I made an icon. (It's not brilliant, but at least it gets the point across. *g*)

Well it was such a lovely (and well-argued point). Esp love that she might be something Special (The Chosen One) - something would knock him off that Lonely God pedestal so thoroughly that everyone can see. And you managed to capture it in 4 words. :)

(Also - paintings. They will be important.)

I need more time to sit and look at this as it's a fantastic post...but first of all - of course! the link to the prayer leaf in AGMGTW. Never realised. I love the idea of the leaf as a tool to journey through the worlds. Taking the world tree symbol, the leaf is of the tree, it belongs to it, it grows from it, falls and breaks down and nourishes the roots. What a hugely powerful symbol. And just look at the way Clara is holding it up in the poster for the Rings of Akhten. It almost makes me thing of shamanic initiation into journeying with a totem to carry you. Like shamans are carried on the beat of a drum. Remember also, Yggdrasil, the name - Odin is sometimes called Ygg and the tree is sometimes characterised as an 8 legged horse - the tree itself can be seen as the steed that carries. So that links into the leaf as a totem ( ... )
