I doubt it's a standalone. Everything I've heard about it suggests a sequel will be on the way!

I've had my eye on this... I may need to pick it up for giggles. :) Given what you know of my tastes (and what I write), do you think this would be a good fit?

Well, it ends without the sense that there's unfinished story arcs and the author's works in progress do not sound like continuations of this series. If she does continue in this world it would be focusing on another protagonist or couple I think. What did you hear that makes you think there's a sequel?

I think you will like this one. You should get. I am putting it with the rest of my keeper SFRs. :)

I'm not getting any books this month save for two pre-orders... I may do it!

EDIT: I don't know why I assumed it was the start of a series. Probably because everything I'd heard about it sounded like a set-up for something larger!

I think it would be cool as a series.. We shall see if it happens, but I didn't get that vibe when I finished. I think if it continues, will be a different couple: like the Andrews' Edge books.

I'll bear that in mind when I read it!

I tweeted at the author saying "is it a standalone? I thought it was, but I could be wrong! " and she said "You are correct - but I have in mind another with a new couple"

So...standalone.. For now.

Read it!

And yes, I agree:

The one quibble I had, was that once they hit a turning point in their relationship, something went away.

I think it's because Murphy wanted sex all the time. :)

LOL. I couldn't put my finger on it, but sort of! Like suddenly it was all "we're a couple who has completely jumped past the awkward first bits and we like having sex with each other and all is good"? I don't know. The sex itself didn't bother me. It was the interpersonal relationship not being such a focus with it.
