Word is that we're nearing the holiday season, and you know what that means: more books! And stuff that goes with books!
Because we like holidays and presents and books and are rather big geeks, we are pleased to announce the Book Geeks Gift Exchange. (Oh, come on. You know you're a book geek, or you wouldn't be here.)
So how does this work? Well, first you click here and fill out the form. You have until midnight EST on November 25 to sign up, after which time you'll get a shiny e-mail (disclaimer: e-mail may or may not actually be shiny) giving you all the information you need to go shopping. You mail a present of awesome to the name given to you, and someone else will send a present of awesome to your address. And there is much book geek glee to be had! The peasants rejoice!

Q: This is a neat idea, but how much am I expected to spend?
A: We're setting the price point at 20-30$ (yes, that would be in American funds; let's face it, those of you outside the US have a pretty good idea how that translates to your local currency).
Q: So is this international, then?
A: Yes! If you can receive mail, you can participate!
Q: International is great and all, but I can't really afford to ship something to the other side of the world...
A: No problem. Just let us know that in the form, and we'll do our best to match you with someone in your own country, or at least the same continent.
Q: Ok, I'm all signed up. When should I expect to send my gift?
A: We're asking everyone to have their gifts mailed by December 2nd, to be sure everything arrives in time for the holidays.
Q: Hurray, shopping for book geeks!
A: That's not really a question, but yes, hurray indeed.
Q: Is it ok to send used books?
A: If you're sending a used book, please make sure it's in good condition. No torn or mildewy pages, no missing covers, spine intact.
Q: Do I need to have some sort of delivery confirmation?
A: It's encouraged, but not required.
Q: Alright, I've sent off my present. What happens if I don't get one in return?
A: That's when Team Backup Geek comes in! If you still haven't received your gift by January 6, please e-mail either Janice (janicu[at]gmail[dot]com) or Anna (genrereviews[at]gmail[dot]com) and we will hook you up.
Q: Is it true that this gift exchange is powered by happy little elves?
