Bit O' British Eye Candy
I wouldn't kick him out of bed, that's for sure. Ah yes, a Rupert Penry-Jones screencap from his latest series "Silk". He plays Clive Reader, a 38 year old barrister who's just bought a motorcycle (he insists he isn't having a mid life crisis). One of the best bits from the first episode of season 2, is when he trips over his tongue while asking a female solicitor out for a drink: "Do you want a quick fuck or a drink?" To his embarrassment/dismay/relief, she says no to the first, yes to the second. He's gorgeous and he knows it, but he's brilliant in the court room and is appreciated by his Q.C. because of it.
I really like the show. It takes the usual courtroom drama and spins it around on its head a little, and witty things come out. Much of the dialog is snappy and the pace is pretty quick.
I definitely recommend it. And I hope there will be more shirtless Roo in further episodes.
