Maybe Mass Academy didn't screw me over

So I just got an email from my dean, and they are awarding me credit for 4 classes, which comes out to 16 credits! That's a whole semester of credit! And I never have to take a math class again, since I am getting credit for Calc I and II (each of them as their own semester course), so that was 8 credits. I also got 5 credits for Spanish, and 3 for Biology.

I'm really happy, because originally Georgetown told me that they wouldn't give me anything, and then Salvatelli made some calls, and I have credits now.

In other news, I'm pledgging Alpha Phi Omega (APO), which is a coed service fraternity, but since Georgetown doesn't have social frats or sororities, APO kind of takes their place. It's really intense, but sooo much fun. It lasts for 6 weeks, and we have to wear a pin and carry around a book that has to be completely unified with all the other pledges at all times. We do 10 service projects, 40 meal visits with brothers (the brothers take us out to dinner or whatever, and they pay!), going to 2 1/2 hours of office hours per week, really long line meetings every Thursday night, plus other events that we have to go to. It's actually a ton of fun, and I'm really glad I decided to pledge. Plus, how can you beat free food, and being able to get into upperclassmen parties that are actually full of people you know.

Classes are a lot of work, but I've been kind of slacking, and being sick didn't help.

In the guy situation, there's interesting things going on between a certain guy from back home who is attending a certain Ivy League University in Connecticut, who I may be seeing in the near future.

But I'm off to have a meal visit=free food!
