I Love Ecuador!
I´m having an amazing time here!!! Everyone is soo awesome, and the school is really nice, and my host family is really nice and they arent strict at all. I´ve gone out twice so far, and it has been soo much furn. Especially last night ;-) . We stayed out dancing until 4 in the morning. I´ve met people from all over the world, and some of my friends are from Germany, England, and Denmark. And theres not shortage of hot guys here. The guys in Ecuador are so rude though, they beep and whistle and hiss at every American girl they see, and at first it was kind of flattering, but now it is just annoying. The bars and clubs here in "Gringo-landia" are soo much fun. I probably wont be able to put up pictures until I get back, but I have a ton.
Today we are in Otavalo, which is the biggest open air market in the world, which is amazing. I have bought sooo much here. But everything is soo cheap here. The bus is 25 cents, a taxi is usually 2 dollars, etc. At Pizza Hut, I got a personal pizza and a pepsi for $1.50 (american dollars). It´s funny how many McDonalds and places like that they have here.
We went to a fútbol game one night, and it was absolutely insane. Everyone was dancing and chanting and singing. There were these military guards standing near us with shields and helmets and everything, but we had no idea why, until halftime, when we were ahead 2-0, and the other team´s fans started throwing pieces of cement at our section, and lighting stuff on fire and throwing it. ONe of my friends got hit in the back, so we decided to leave. It was really scary.
Oh man, yesterday, we went to El Mitad del Mundo, which is the Equator. There is actually a line there and a huge monument, and it was pretty cool. After that we went out to Gringolandia. We went to like 4 different bars and 3 different clubs, and it was soo much fun.
And then there was the hot British guy last night ;-D .
I have no idea where everyone else is right now, so I need to go find someone or try to go find our hotel.
