Cassie has spent two full days in room seven with her mom and Sam. They offered some distraction, which she was more than grateful for, and she waited until the hormones died down. Then, just to be sure, she waited an extra night.
Early that morning, when the sun was hardly up, she woke up and went upstairs to Billy's rooms. She let herself in quietly and headed to the kitchen to start breakfast.
