Is Robogate literally our own version of Watergate? Tell me the government will fall. Tell me that if we do have the chance to elect a new government that the liberals and the NDP will be ready for it.
I get pissy because of Vic Toews (which despite knowing better I still pronounce as "toes") and Robogate but then I see Santorum still exists (What up, my American friends? Please rethink this) and I'm still very, very pissy but not nearly as scared as I am for the U.S. and the world if bad things happen.
I really liked it? I mean there's a few quibbles, but mostly I really liked it. I don't care what everyone says, Georgina is awesome. Admittedly, sometimes she can be a bit much, but most of the time she amuses me to no end. Scheming with Chuck to take down Dan at Cece's funeral? Tasteless, the way it was done? pretty funny. I do love tacky acts.
Dan and Blair are flawless, I love that she forgave him so easily for the leak, I love that he finally owned it, I love that he stepped away and she told Chuck that she wasn't in love with him. And the ending? Well let's just say that I was a fucking puddle when I saw it. So cute and flaily.
I even found the Lola/Ivy/Nate/Serena/Lily/Rufus/William debacle interesting.
Things I didn't like? 1) Making Papa van der Woodsen Lola's father was predictable and yet still squicky. 2)Chuck's reaction to Dan informing him that he caused the Waldorf's to go bankrupt. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Chuck aware of how high the price was? I mean isn't that why he offered to pay in the first place? It just strikes me as bad continuity and the dowry was discussed in 5x14, this episode is 5x17. Such short term memories, GG writers?
