1. I've been kind of off LJ lately? LJ is fun and awesome but I've been so tired, it's just easier reading 140 characters at a time or looking at pretty photosets on Tumblr.
2. I'm not talking to the tories at all, aside from scrapping the long-gun registry (not cool. We should be strengthening gun laws) and this bullshit bill (the Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act) that allows a much broader scope of online surveillance, that would allow police to obtain information from our ISPs and cellphone companies without warrants, Harper got to pet a panda. I DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS BULLSHIT.
This is funny, but it's also pretty scary.

3. There's a fascinating read on Gossip Girl numbers over the course of its run
here. Okay, it's fascinating for me but I am a bit of a numbers fan, the only thing is that this post (and the post it's in reply to) are basing their arguments on total viewers. Total viewers are all well and good when you want to see (as they do) if certain story lines bring down viewership, but I want to know about the important demos, A18-49 and W18-34 (W18-34 is the CW's target demo but A18-49 is much more easily obtained because every other network goes for that one). I want to know, does the Chuck/Blair romance drive down viewership in similar patterns for both total viewers and the target demo, or did people falling in the target demo continue to watch but outside of the demo people were dropping the show like crazy? Still, if you're into numbers it is a good read.
4. NGL, I had a tear in my eye.
