I am not _quite_ so delighted with the first rain of the season today as
silverflight. I suppose we need it, though, and I do hope that this is foreshadowing a long and wet winter (seeing as it is getting started so relatively early). Morgan and I were on the lookout for rainbows on the way home this evening, as there were occasional holes in the clouds that some blue sky was peeking through, but we didn't find any. Did get some lightning, though, which is always cool. Morgan learns little bits of Spanish at school, which I quiz her while we're driving ("What color is that car in Spanish?" "The white car is blanco!"), so I thought I'd mix things up and teach her that lightning is "blitzen" (largely because I don't think I know what lightning is in Spanish. Nor Russian, come to think...) Oh, and I must make a point to teach her about butterflies when the season comes again. I can just hear her little voice saying "schmetterling." So cute!
