June!
Holy crap, it's June!
My bike was stolen on Saturday night from INSIDE of my friend's apartment building. I used to live there too and I was used to just parking my bike in the foyer without locking it up if I wasn't going to be long. I guess I took too long.
I'm really sad about my bike... so is Jay. It's a very special bike that was made by Jay specifically for me. Every single part of it is perfectly tuned and picked for me out of love. Until I had this bike I enjoyed riding bikes but was mostly aggravated by shitty bikes with heavy gears and rusty components. This bike was like FREEDOM to me. I have never felt so able to climb hills and go super fast with the confidence that I could stop because my brakes work! And now it's gone...
If you see it, please tell me! It was stolen from William and Woodland, very close to Commercial and Venables. It is a 49 cm black BRC frame, single speed, red chain, bmx pedals, a "prohab" sticker, my helmet also has one and it was taken with the bike.
And June is bike month... at least I got to ride Critical Mass on Friday. It was fucking huge and so fun. If you were there you probably heard me yelling the whole time.
