Walking to Daniel's Apartment

Janet and Daniel were walking through town, generally in the quieter areas, and were arm-in-arm. By the duck pond, actually. Not that anyone had plans involving that. Nope. No one.

"This is nice," Daniel said suddenly.

[janet_fraiser]

"What is?" asked Janet curiously.

[the_ascended]

"Just walking through town with you like this," he said, smiling down at her.

[janet_fraiser]

"It really is," said Janet. She leaned her head on his arm as they walked. "Look, we're out in public. Sort of."

[the_ascended]

Daniel laughed slightly. "I'm not sure if an empty park and a duck pond count as public," he said.

[janet_fraiser]

"Semi-public," said Janet, rolling her eyes and thankful it was too dark for Daniel to see her. "As in, 'we're not hiding in your apartment at least.'"

"That? I greatly approve of," he said, smiling down at her.

[janet_fraiser]

"I think if we want a date, we're going to have to go off the island for one," said Janet. She looked hopeful. "Do you think that would be a good idea?"

"I think that's a great idea, and one which should be implemented as soon as possible," Daniel nodded.

[janet_fraiser]

"So next week some time?" asked Janet.

[the_ascended]

"Sure thing. What's the best night for you?"

[janet_fraiser]

"Pretty much any night," said Janet, smiling up at him. "Wait, no, Mondays I have Tactics from six to eight. Any night but that."

[the_ascended]

"Any night but Monday." Daniel nodded, making a mental note. "I'll see what I can manage."

[janet_fraiser]

Janet smiled happily.

And noticed how near the edge of the duck pond they were. Hm.

"Did you want to stop here for a minute?" Daniel suggested, completely cluelessely.

[janet_fraiser]

"That would be nice," said Janet.
