Janet unlocked the door to Daniel's apartment. "I don't think he's here yet," she said to Sam. They walked in, and Janet pulled several Wormhole X-Treme! boxed sets out of her backpack. "So tonight we're watching a lot of the Levant episodes? It's the Daniel Dies marathon!"

Janet came back out with very strong drinks for Sam, Liz, and herself, and the Chinese menu shoved in the pocket of her jeans. "I think Daniel's getting the cake."

"Thanks, hon," Elizabeth said, reaching for one of the drinks.

Daniel was getting the cake, and he followed with two plates, which he handed to Elizabeth and Sam, before returning for the next two.

Janet settled down on the sofa and put in one of the first season episodes.

"Does Daniel know the theme we picked for tonight's marathon?" she asked, glancing at the kitchen to make sure he was still there.

Elizabeth snickered. "You know, I'm not even sure he knows what we're watching," she said. She took a mouthful of cake, and closed her eyes and sighed happily.

Janet glanced at the kitchen door. And she giggled.

"Oops." Then she hit 'play.'

Daniel thought the music sounded familiar as he entered the living room again with the other two plates of cake. He handed one to Janet, and sat down next to her.

"So, what are we," he began to ask, before glancing up at the screen. No. Surely this wasn't?

The garish titles proclaimed all.

"Someone got rid of all their DVDs," said Janet, smiling at Daniel. She picked up a piece of cake, took a bite, and then set it down to lick the frosting off her fingers. "I got a very nice deal."

She snuck a glance at Daniel. "They seem to have belonged to a Dr. Levant fan."

Daniel went very, very pale.

Which made a nice change to all his blushing.

Janet snickered and nibbled at some frosting stuck to her fingertip. "We're watching Steam & Ice tonight. I hear that Dr. Levant's wake is particularly nice."

"Wake?" Daniel groaned. Of all the episodes, they chose one where the character based on him died.

He was really in for a fun night. Hmmm. There was a basketful of laundry in his room that really needed doing...

"You know, where Colonel Danning smashes the bay windows at General Hemmens' house?" asked Janet. Her eyes might have twinkled mischievously.

"Oh, no, I think you should stay right here and keep me company," murmured Janet.

"I can't say I know the episodes well at all," Daniel said, shifting uncomfortably. This was going to be a long night.

Janet snuggled close to him and took another bite of coffee cake. "That's okay, I think I've got everything on DVD now." She peered at the screen. "Is that really ancient Hebrew? We studied it in Classics last semester, and Professor Dream lent me some books on it a while ago, but something looks odd there."

Daniel panicked and saw endless amounts of Wormhole X-Treme in his future.

He snorted. "No, absolutely not. It looks more like they let their three-year-old loose with a crayon."

"Why they felt the need to give the alien tentacles coming out of his head, I really don't know," said Janet. "Much less make them three feet long." She grinned. "Ooh, it's Dr. Cramer's first scene!"
