Yuletide!
After excellent times with excellent people at New Year's, chilling with roommate M and her dog, and assorted travel misadventures, I am home and under a blanket. Next in line: hot shower, dinner, catching up on lj, and actually reading some yuletide fic.
botherd wrote my lovely Imagine Me and You fic, London, Under a Raincloud, while I had the new experience of, not only writing for someone on my flist, but also being two feet away from my recipient when reveals went up. I wrote:
Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect Kanye West
Fandom: RaPS/Hip Hop RPF
Pairing: Kanye/Lupe
Notes: I hadn't offered this fandom (and I will totally write Middleman someday, which is what I was matched on), but as soon as I saw just_katarin's prompt in my inbox, I started writing about Kanye West. Since I started writing it, I have gotten ridiculously defensive of Kanye, Beyonce, and Jay-Z in conversations with various people IRL. Betaed by loveyouallwrong, who promised me that it was okay when all I had was one running joke about Kanye West.
Summary: Two board games, one card game, and a party game that Kanye talked Lupe into playing, and one that Lupe won.
In conclusion, my New Year's resolution, inspired by singing along to CCR on the drive home, is to bring "everlovin'" into my vocabulary.
