I got my Bike back yesterday and I can't tell you how happy I was to see it again and that they were able to fix it too... My bike is a very old, very pampered, and very much loved, I purchased it before a lot of my friends were even born, 1973 and since have always taken the best care of it. It lived in door at ever home that I have lived at, I would dry it off after ever ride, wash, wax it at least once a month and take it to the shop every 6 month for a turn up and tires. It was very sad when last year before my back surgery that my doctor told me that I was not to ride any more, and I was forced to put the bike in storage so that I would not be tempted. It has been a year and I can finally go back to riding. As soon as I was able I went to storage and took by beloved friend back home where it belongs. I started riding and was working back up to the 10 to 15 miles that I use to do when on Saturday as I was out doing my usual ride I heard this really nasty clucking noise coming from the petal area, I just prayer-ed to get it home. I made it home and called around to find some one who would work on a 33 year old bike, and I finally found a shop, they did a great job and I have been united with my bike again. YEA!!!! I will never never put my bike in storage again... It seem that while it was in storage the dampness cause it to rust and the bearings were all messed together and frozen.
I am looking forward to riding again each night it is very relaxing and it feels good to be doing something active again.
