Post-period cleaning spree
Today is a day for cleaning and finishing! The painter came by this morning and painted the balcony doors in an hour flat! Meanwhile, I did the dishes. I'd vacuumed the previous night, and after the painter left I continued to the atelier.
I am contracting NoKey's way of dealing with mail: read, pay whatever you're due, and make a pile. I haven't so far received any notifications that I forgot the pay stage (because my memory really is a sieve!) and today was the day I grabbed the cow by the proverbial horns.
An hour and a half later the mail has all been taken care of, I've ticked off all my travel expenses (they've all been reimbursed by Sogeti, but I'd rather check them now than be sore later) and I cleaned the desk. There was a pile of dust on it and sticky bits where I accidentally spilled some cherry mead. There is still a small pile of "to do" on it, but my Post In box is mostly empty and I think the agenda can be cut some slack before I stuff it back into my messenger bag.
Still up to do are the livingroom tables, as this Sunday people are coming by to watch The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. Can't bloody well have them sit on a chair that holds a pile of campstove bits, now can we?
I also still need to shop for groceries, new sheets for the bed, and lunch!
