Mulling
Mostly I’m mulling what to work on next - lol. I figured I’d give myself some time off after the inherent drama of getting my paperlegends fic posted (link here: http://archiveofourown.org/chapters/860059) and I spent most of last week watching Dr Who and not doing much else.
Which I was looking forward to doing, but oddly it made me twitchy. So I’m going back into the writing trenches this week. The question is - what do I work on?
I have some ideas for more in this ‘verse: http://archiveofourown.org/works/487883#comments knocking around but I don’t know. It’s not a pairing I would normally write, plus knotting and mpreg … two things I was sure I would never, ever write. Um. Oops?
I could poke at kink bingo or cotton candy bingo for something, or shuffle at the dragon big bang maybe. I have a few ideas knocking about and I’ve been poking at the Avengers kink meme and the Merlin kink meme.
I like the idea of something along the lines of Merlin and Arthur are together/break up - but they don’t get back together. Fast-forward a few years, and Arthur is seeing someone else, and it’s serious … Leon, and Merlin is on the verge of something with someone else too (either Gwaine, or new!Mordred). If it’s new!Mordred, for some reason there’s an age difference. Like - Merlin, Arthur et al are in their mid-30s and Mordred is about 24-25.
Say they all gather for Lance and Gwen’s wedding and they all haven’t seen each other in a while and … I don’t know. I just like the idea of exploring that dynamic.
I’m rambling a little bit because I’m hungry - lol.
I’m surprised I’m not more burned out from battling to get paperlegends finished to be honest. Usually that’s what happens to me and I can’t write for weeks - lol. This time, however, *fingers crossed* writing seems to have led to more writing. Well, that’s the hope, at least. There are a couple of Avengers kink meme prompts that I really like the look of, and there’s also - maybe - the possibility of doing Dean/Cas for bondage (other) for kink bingo.
Although I do like the idea of Dean/Cas for pervertibles … the possibilities of that are pretty much endless.
Lol I’m fandom-hopping at the moment, fic-wise. But let’s call that a good thing. It’s a challenge, and it’s good for my brain cells.
