In other news … I finished my cockbert big bang early! Yay! The minimum word count is only 5k and I cam in at about 100 words over. Adam Lambert and Sherlock Holmes, which is the strangest pairing I think I’ve ever written, even though the fic is very gen. And lol I’ve written Adam/Lucifer but somehow this is stranger.
But it’s done apart from some editing and oh my god what a relief!
Next is the Sherlock rebang and I have the most gorgeous art that I need to sit down and study and try to work out its story. I have a couple of things in mind but I’m really not sure at the moment and I really really want to do the art justice.
The Luther porn is … going. Er, sort of. Ripley’s still having FEELINGS and honestly I just want Luther to bend him over the nearest surface, especially after really noticing the height difference in one of the episodes in season 2. I mean, Luther could just snap him in HALF.
Then of course there’s the Merlin big bang. I have about 4200 words written but I’m oddly …. Zen. Which if I stop to think about it is slightly worrying but there it is - lol.
What else. Oh! I signed up for this next round of Holmestice. I had fun with it last time and I think the minimum word count is 1k so that’s fairly low-stress.
I’m eyeing reel_merlin: http://reel-merlin.livejournal.com/ which is also a 1k minimum and Queen of the Damned is on the list. The movie is pants but I love that book - it’s my favourite of the Vampire Chronicles (which I gave up on a while back). I’m picturing Merlin as Akasha and I can’t STOP myself. /o\
I can’t tell whether the sign-ups are getting out of control again or not …. -.- Possibly yes but both Holmestice and reel_merlin have low word counts, plus the deadline for reel_merlin is something like September. It would be doable.
Plus, I seem to function better if I have more than one story to work on - if I can bounce back and forth between stories and characters. Orrrrrrrrr I’m really good at making excuses - lol.
I saw Battleship yesterday and all I can say about that is I’d like my two hours back please. *Shudder*. Oh and I found a ship (no pun intended) with hot annoying dude/slightly older hot Japanese captain. There won’t be any fic but it helped pass the time for a while. :D
I’m parking up tonight with Captain America - it’s the only pre-Avengers movie I haven’t seen, and I have season 3 of Supernatural out from the library which I’m going to dive into during the next couple of weeks. Which, of course, means diving into Supernatural fic. As you do.
Right. That’s quite enough of that for now. :P
