I didn’t make my January GYWO word count but encouragingly, I only missed by about 2k or so, which I don’t think is bad really.
I signed up for the Merlin big bang, and I haven’t written a single solitary word yet. I’ve created a document and I’ve named it but … that’s all - lol.
Nothing to freak out about yet, I don’t think. I have an outline, and a starting scenario in mind which is way more than I usually have when I start a fic.
It’s (apparently) a canon-era magic reveal AU wherein Arthur banishes Merlin when his magic is revealed. The pairings (so far) are Merlin/Gwaine, Arthur/Leon and Lance/Gwen, because I thought the way the show disposed of Lance was a bit rubbish and to be honest, Arthur/Gwen (to me) make no sense as a couple and I have a secret ~thing for Arthur/Leon. (No I don’t know why - lol.)
I signed up for the CBB too: http://cockbertbigbang.livejournal.com/15561.html?thread=130249#t130249 and so far I have no idea what to write - lol. I think I’d like to go Adam/OMC but if anyone has any ideas …..
Oh!! And remember how I was talking on LJ about a Sherlock big bang? Yes? Looooook: http://sherlockrebang.livejournal.com/ It’s a reverse big bang, where the authors claim the art but I wouldn’t want a clash so EVERYONE GO AND DO THAT ONE PLEASE. It’s only 7k and the artists in the Sherlock fandom are fantastic.
Artist sign-ups are very soon and I believe author sign-ups are in April. I’m definitely doing it. Which completely jacks my resolve to only do one big bang this year but to be fair the CBB and the Sherlock reverse bang have fairly low word counts respectively so it’s totally doable.
Also I finished my TTSS movie!verse Peter/Richard fix-it fic. It was just supposed to be short(ish) porn but Richard had feelings, the bastard.

So that felt good, to finish that, which theoretically means I can get out of the gates with my big bang with a hiss and a roar.
