Christmastime yay!
Ever since the quarter ended (two solid A's...double yay!) I've had so much time to be creative! Project after project...one or two must remain secret for now because they have not yet been gifted, but some can be revealed!
I've been working on a portrait of Dave for some months now, with no end in sight (but I WILL finish it.) I haven't actually put in too many hours, but the sessions are few and far between. It's about five feet tall, close to life size. Here is the progress so far:
For our anniversary on November 16, I made him a small sculpture of the weeping angel from the episode "Blink" of Doctor Who (Best. Episode.) Dave got me the most fantastic cuddly red robe and red slippers. They are so awesome. Here's the sculpture...it's made out of Stonex, which I'm not sure I'd use again. It's self-drying, but a little hard to work with. It goes with his T.A.R.D.I.S. model:
Finally, I took it upon myself to make Dave a quilt for Christmas. Plaid, of course, and in the bright colors he loves. It's on our bed now, and I'm really proud of it, my first quilt. The colors are a little washed out here - in real life the reds are very bright and deep cotton.
That's all for now...I've just realized that all my energy has gone toward Davecraft! Well, that's alright. He deserves it. After all, he's my Lord and Master and I must please him at every opportunity. Just kidding ^_^
