head throbbing, whole body sweating, stomach rolling around... m is for milk. e is for elephant.
she had to do it. she had to kill someone. she reached for her phone, her arm shaking with effort.

"hello?" each possible victim would answer. that word holding so much potential. "hello..." call after call, each conversation was more disappointing than the last. degenerates, scum bags, losers...they all were so fucking disappointing. she dialed every number she had in her phonebook, before moving to the numbers she deleted and swore she'd forget. y is for yellow, s is for stolen.

nothing.

she was aching. she needed to do it. t is for tawdry. crawling out of bed, drenched in sweat, she picked up dirty clothes from the floor. she didn't bother to fix her greasy hair, she didn't even look in the mirror.

g is for gun.
l is for lasso.

she stumbled into her garage, sitting in the car. t is for tasteless, h is for hate.

she drove to the park. as she drove, she thought about the last year. so many dead bodies. she killed a man in her basement, shot her best friend in the back of her car, stabbed that girl down the street. they haunted her when she was awake and took their revenge when she slept.

she climbed out of her vehicle, the wind was strong and her own stench assulted her nostrils. she hadn't bathed in a week. maybe longer. she picked her way through the grass, her heels catching in dirt patches. it was easy to find her mark, they were always easy to find. he was tall, the bones in his face jutted out, ready to pierce through his yellow skin.

"hello..." nice. finally hello had lived up to it's potential. they exchanged stupid words, pretending they were friends. he smiled, his crooked teeth looked like the lorax's tree stumps. she saw her opportunity coming, reached into her pocket and pulled out her weapon of choice. unphased, he just looked at her. she slashed his throat, his blood gushed out, it looked black in the moonlight. he stared at her as she stabbed him, never protesting even when she peirced his lung. a is for apple. s is for self-medication, self-mutilation.

as his blood ran down her arms she wondered what her mother would think.

"why?" she'd ask crying. "are you that unhappy? bored? is it something i did?"
"why'd you do it?" they always wanted to know. they were paid to find out. a is for altruistic.
"why did you? do you think you're depressed? do you want to really want to end up like the rest of them?"

c is for callous. r is for remorse. tears slid down her cheeks, leaving tracks on her skin. she wiped them away, the blood smearing across her face. l is for liar. suddenly, she stopped crying. her chest felt light, her muscles un-knotted themselves. her arms were like feathers and she smiled. she walked back to her car, a perfect girl, forgetting the ghosts that were floating abover her head.
