Oh, just wait! Book 2 brings the melodrama! Or just drama ... And if you're at all concerned about the power imbalance in the Harry/John relationship, that's what Book 2 is addressing. ^_^ And in exchange for Murphy, we get about 80% more of the Carpenters, yay!

Something to look forward to:) Though I'm still holding out hope that things can be repaired between Murphy and Dresden; now that Butcher's eliminated the possibility of romance between them, I find them one of the most enjoyable friendships in fiction.

I don't think he has... I mean... in Changes they [LOL SPOILERS OMG LOL] nearly go on a date until Harry has his little run in with killer fish. [/SPOILERS LOLOL]

I'm very likely getting them out of order -- is Changes the latest book (aside from Ghost Story, which I think comes out this month)?

Changes was the most recent released, yes. :D

Ah. I have to admit I have a tough time imagining how anything brought up in that book could be considered leading to dating. After the whole Susan disaster, I'd think Harry would swear off dating for *life*.

They were at least leading up to sex.

That's at least the impression I got.

And Murphy really did miss him in Side Stories. Maybe I'm reading to much in to this.

It could easily be me forgetting something important; it's been a couple of years since I read it and I've read a *lot* of Dresden Files fanfic in the interim:)

You know, with Book 2 less than half finished, I wouldn't want to rule it out. I think she's covering a book in which Murphy's presence is more necessary soon, which might mean extra tension between them, or a repaired friendship. We can hope, I love Murphy too!
