Reading the Nienie Dialogues. Why you might ask? Because getting a glimpse into her life is certainly more fun than paying my bills. Besides, you should see my house. I rocked it out on Saturday, and still had time for a date with the love of my life! Seriously! I don't remember the last time my house looked this good, and it is staying that way. Byron picked up Taryn's entire bedroom last night (and there were at least 6 things on the floor)! He then proceeded to inform me that, "mom, our house is a mess. Promise me that tomorrow you are going to clean it up!"
I assured him that I would and replied, "Byron, promise me that you will help!"
Byron: "I promise!"
I should go make good on that promise and further the learning process by helping him to learn how to clean something new, or just let him use his favorite skill of vacuuming! It is so amazing to me how much Byron seems to be positively affected by clean, organized surroundings. He is much more helpful and hasn't whined nearly as much as is his norm about helping. I hope it sticks. Of course I feel better when my house is clean and I am sure that helps too!
I forgot how romantic I used to be. I was a perpetual day dreamer as a child. Always picturing my prince charming aka. my future husband! And creative too, as a child making up all kinds of funny games or construction paper conveyor belts for our 'store'. Reading Nienie is good for me because she never seemed to lose that in herself, in her life. It is a good reminder to me to hold on to all the silly, beautiful, wonderful parts of me that take a back seat when I get to stressed about cleaning my house and paying the bills.
It is good to remember. It is good to remember me!
So off I go to clean my house and pay my bills, but I have remembered me first, so I will do so creatively and romantically! That should be fun!
