so did i tell you that i had an awesome birthday?
no
well i did
an entire bar sang happy birthday to me :)
other than that though..when i get tired i noticed that i get very negative. Last night I was so fired up and ready to pack my bags and come home. Sometimes I feel as if I'm not being treated in the same way as the others here because English is my native language. Its the first time for my program to have a native speaker.
Also..the ant problem continues.
but, good things...one of the second year students informed me that there is a vegetarian restaurant near my house. i went to find it today and it is AWESOME. and cheap. 30-60 B (1-2 dollars) per item. And it is DELICIOUS. Its like finding Christmas.
speaking of religion... I guess that I should figure out what I am. Its like.. for the most part I believe that almost all religions stem down from the same one. If you want to get all linguistics...then I guess its similar to the Proto-World Language theory, where all the languages in the world stem from the same one. Now...that seems a little bit too hard to believe for me, so I'll narrow it down more. Proto-Indo European. I can sort of reconstruct a religion in my mind that encompasses a lot of beliefs... so that now they all look different, but really they came from the same place. (like all Indo-European languages. Seriously, who would have thought that Greek, Farsi and Spanish were all somehow related? but they are!
I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say.
I believe in parts of everything...
According to www.beliefnet.com this is how I match in their online quiz..
1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Liberal Quakers (94%)
3. Theravada Buddhism (94%)
4. Mahayana Buddhism (93%)
5. New Age (86%)
6. Neo-Pagan (85%)
7. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%)
8. Taoism (75%)
9. Secular Humanism (71%)
10. Jainism (68%)
hmmm.... Now I should figure out what those things are (and really...a Quaker??)
