You know why i love parents?
Because I remember when I was a little girl, my dad had to have cataract surgery on both of his eyes and he had to wear gauze on his eyes, separately, because he had to have the surgery done at different times so he could still see. He couldn't have been more than 45 when he got the surgery, so that would have made me about 9...so I was probably younger than that...well I asked him why he had to have the surgery done and he said "because I looked at the sun too many times when I was a little boy." To this day, I don't want to look directly at the sun cause I don't want to get cataracts. I mean, don't get me wrong, almost immediately after he told me that I looked directly at it...but still...it scared me. LOL...I know the sun is bad for your eyes, but I don't think that it was intirely the reason he had to have cataract surgery. My dog had cataracts and I know for a fact he didn't look at the sun too much when he was a puppy.
