I find it endlessly amusing how in Team Fortress 2, an American First-Person Shooter, the Russian guy has de facto become the main character with a German boyfriend.
Heavy is the
guest star in cross-over games, he gets the central spot in the
official TF2 team shot, he takes the front of the
TF2 box art and represents TF2 in the cover of the
official Valve comic. He is also the first (and, at the time, only) TF2 character to get an action figure, and he takes the lead in the new TF2 trailer.
Ah, yes, the new TF2 trailer.
MANN VS MACHINE IS THE GREATEST UPDATE EVER!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!
So far we have had two new comics with shocking plot-twists, a brand new and completely different game mode, new maps, new video like the Meet The series, and proof that the whole thing has been in thw works for two years! I'm waiting for it to be completely over so I can make a new entry specifically to fangirl its incredible awesomeness. LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH.
Back on topic. Russian guy is for all intents and purposes the hero of the American FPS. I love it! And he has a German boyfriend.
Then again, TF2 is the game where 2/3 of the mercenaries are not American, and the Frenchman is usually portrayed as the one in charge in the extra material :P
And the German boyfriend is more like a husband, really.
