They keep saying "nice". That word doesn't mean what they think it means.

Funny, how so many criminals are supposedly "misunderstood nice guys."

And when I say "funny", I mean "you have got to be fucking kidding me!"

Kid mercilessly bullies another kid until he can't take the abuse anymore and commits suicide? "He is a sweet kid and never meant any harm! Boys will be boys!" cry the parents/friends/neighbours/lawyer.

Guy assaults a woman at the station (apparently because she wouldn't let him cut in line), punching her in the face so violently she goes in a coma, then he casually walks away? "He is a honest and good hard-working man!"

Guy rapes a girl and nearly beats her to death, leaving her unconscious body in a pool of her own blood, in a deserted place where she nearly bleeds to death before somebody finds her? "He is not like that, stop saying he is a monster, he is really a good loving boy!"

And the victim blaming, good God, the victim blaming. The most recent example is the one at the station, it happened today.

Of course, the guy gave all kinds of bullshit excuses. First he claimed that she had spat at him. She didn't, cameras recorded the whole scene, he had spat at her; and anyway, even if she had done it, that still wouldn't have been a remotely acceptable reason to beat the shit out of her and then abandon her comatose body with no medical help. Then, he claimed that he thought she had a gun. In Italy??? It would have been more credible if he had said that he thought she had magical powers.

But while the bullshit excuses are expected from the guy and his relatives, even random people are taking his side! What the fuck is wrong with people how can they say "poor guy" he spat at that woman and then nearly killed her and walked away as if nothing happened! He is not a "poor guy" he is a fucking criminal!

sad, rant
