It seems like every time I come here lately, I only have bad news to report. I'm sorry that I have been such a Debbie Downer. Things have been nuts the last 2 weeks. My whole family came down with the swine flu. It has been horrible. Unfortunately, the person who started it over here is still the sickest. It's my mom's foster daughter Mechelle. She is 14 and already has medical problems. She is mentally retarded, and has other medical problems. She got so sick that my mom took her to the ER last saturday morning and and they put her into the Pediatric ICU. She started to do better but took a nose dive on monday morning. One minute she was talking to my dad and watching tv and the next she couldn't see anything and then went into cardiac arrest. They had to do cpr for 30 minutes to get her heart going again. She is now on a ventilator and has chest tubes and iv's. It's really scary. She seems to be getting worse instead of better. The other night a 19 year old boy that came in with the swine flu died. My family has been up at the hospital and I have been home taking care of 7 kids and the house, cleaning, cooking and all of that fun stuff. I'm exhausted. So, I'd like to ask those of you that pray to please do so.
A few good things are happening too. I'll write more about that when I have some time.
