Hahaha. Not

I just went over to look at that fan fiction survey that's whipping up a frothy kerfuffle. Didn't look at the survey itself, which I don't intend to take, just browsed the comments. ETA The survey's down now while they lick their wounds, I guess ( Read more... )

That survey makes me want to headdesk repeatedly. I'm rather impressed with the comments. If only the two dudes who put that so called survey together could experience a teaching moment. The title of their book alone suggests they're not so much into learning.

Ah, now you've got me thinking about how some other characters might respond to them. Fraser and Ray K, Aeryn Sun. Geoffrey Tennant. :::nods:::

PS. I really should leave out Daniel Jackson. He'd have them for lunch on a platter.

Definitely. They're the type that you spare a glance at wonder if they've accidentally walked into the wrong room then forget all about.

I've always wondered, in the back of my mind, what Blair would think of fandom/fanfic in general. As a 'sub-culture' we are an amazingly diverse mix of people/ideas. I think he'd get a kick out of 'studying' us.

I am noticing the amount of typos in my comments tonight, sorry about that.

They don't strike me by their responses as being open to changing their perspective. Humans. *headdesk*

I will admit to not being very familiar with Blair, but from what I know he'd probably be fascinated. :)
