1. cupcakes of catan and, in fact,
cake porn in general. i'm not a big fan of cake, actually- sponge and too much sweetness i find sickening, so i mostly stick to the cheese variety- which is probably why it's taken me this long to realize that cakes can be a form of ART. not grocery-store-style cartoon images art, but rather whimsical
mad-hatter,
edible-garden style art. awesome.
2. summary executions no, not of the legal kind. i'm talking about summaries of terrible terrible harry potter fanfiction. unfortunate grammar and spelling errors, terrible cross-overs, and the suest sues that ever sued, you'll find it here! honestly, this kind of thing makes me wish people needed a license to operate the internet. some examples:
- Elsarinxzarlas Calsarracktik (Xzar Cal for short) is a student going to Hogwarts in Harrys First year.
- this is a story. A teary story in which you'd cry afterwards. You'll be so happy and you'll like it! It's a story about words and chickens
- Sir Elton John and Draco Malfoy combine to create the ultimate window to Draco's soul.
- Ron is visciously attakced by a wereflamingoe, aka Severus Snape.
even more hilarious, though, are people's snarky responses to the summaries... you can actually skip the summary list all together and scroll down for the reactions, as they include the summaries themselves.
3. PCASJDPF! do you hate overhyped actresses, smelly mutts, and 70's prog rock? then join People Collectively Against Scarlett Johansson, Dogs, and Pink Floyd! current membership is two, but we're convinced there must be other like-minded folk out there. we also need a logo, if anyone has any ideas.
4. animals that think they're people peter has already shared the
hand-holding otters, and some of you may have seen the
chicken police, but the newest and cutest addition to the game has got to be the
duckling feeding the carp.
5. report of the international commission on intervention and state sovereignty just so that you don't think i spend my days looking at nothing but pictures of cute animals... i'm currently half-done reading this, the report that outlines the U.N.'s position on the situation and manner in which it is acceptable to intervene in a sovereign state's affairs. for those who find it daunting, it's actually a pretty easy read, and certainly current, even though it was compiled in 2001.
