It's official . . .

I'm a pretentious grad-student.

See, last semester, I was still taking laboratory classes and completing level I clinical hours, so my snootiness didn't get the chance to fully mature.

But now . . .

Oh, now I find myself writing dense, pithy anti-prose on what turns out to be nothing, nothing at all:

In this section of Kielhofner’s exposition of the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), the concept of ontogenesis is examined in terms of temporal adaptation to illuminate how occupation changes and evolves through the lifespan. In this discussion, Kielhofner identifies a hierarchy present within the ontogenic open system (i.e., a person moving through a lifespan) that serves to organize experiences and generate change. This hierarchy is composed of the system’s/person’s internal tendencies and environmental demands, as realized through the volition subsystem previously identified. Kielhofner maintains that because enactment of conscious decisions occurs only at the volitional level, change, in turn, can occur only at the volitional level. Further, change follows the hierarchy of the voltion substem: exploration, competency and achievement. The open system/person engages in exploration and develops skills, which in turn foster competency. Competency results in habitual behavior, which contributes to feelings of achievement, and the search for new roles to start the process again.

I have arrived. I am officially a blowhard.

Now, I think I will go for that pint. Heavy work, this BS.
