Starbucks has been around for literally over thirty years. There has been at least one Starbucks in my city for at least seven years, and there are now at least 8 now. So here's my question: Why do people still gripe about the size names? As dumb as you may think they are, do you really honestly believe the person standing behind the counter taking

that's why they gripe, pure and simple.

I got two free Ventis today - cuz I haven't been in there in two days and the shift manager was happy to see me.

Once a guy came through the drive-thru in a pretty big truck. When he got to the window, he said "You really need to do something about that turn, it's really sharp." I just looked at him and said "Uh, yeah, I can't do anything about that at all. But I can get you your drink, it's a blah blah blah, right?" He didn't look very happy with me so I told my shift supervisor about it just in case (I have this theory that if I tell someone in charge that I pissed a customer off, if they complain my punishment will be less severe). He laughed so hard and told me that I was awesome for not pretending that I had any sort of authority or that my manager would care if I told her.

It's too bad that we don't live in the same area, because I could totally get you an interview in my district. Then you could feed your addiction for free and make some money while on the "real" job hunt.

I'd love to be a Starbucks pusher *grin* See I would have to tell the guy in the big truck that it wasn't our corners that was too tight - that it was his gorgeous, massive, sexy truck that was just too big for us to handle.

I bet it would have diffused his irritation :)

Yeah, I can't ever think of stuff like that in the moment. Plus, I turn red when I say stuff like that and no one ever thinks it's hot, they always laugh. It's cool, I grow into my womanhood eventually. :)
