Needles and fic...
Dudes, Neil Gaiman is at friggin ALA!! ALA where a couple of my coworkers are, who by the way care nothing for him, and one of them is supposed to be helping me plan our yearly development day (which I don't want to go to because it's going to be boring as hell) and can't because she's at ALA with NEIL GAIMAN. Am I jealous? Yeah, just a wee bit.
Right now, I'm watching Slumdog Millionaire again because my latest disc of How I Met Your Mother is defective. Thanks Netflix, I want a new disc! I'm trying to make Hogwarts robes because I'm a big dork and plan on going to the midnight showing of the new movie in costume. So far I've run out of fabric and misplaced 3 yards of my back up fabric and that shit isn't cheap. Thankfully, after a 2 hour search I found in at the bottom of my closet under my Monty Python slippers.
On the other hand, I managed to step on my open container of pins and about five of them stuck. They're the small ones but it still hurts to pull them out. Note to self: do not leave needles on floor when walking barefooted in my cluttered room.
In happier news, two of my Merlin fics were nominated for Excalibur Awards! It's the first time I've been nominated for anything so I'm super excited. I don't know who did it but I'm seriously sending 'thank you' vibes across the internets to you!
I've been in a writing rut that finally seems to have broken on Friday. I should be working on the sequel to my last Merlin fic or my Supernatural FIC 'O DOOM (yes, at this point it deserves the emphasis) but instead I wrote a tiny, unbetaed entry in the memory challenge over at merlin_flashfic . I'm thinking of entering the startrekbigbang . I've had a McCoy gen fic poking at the back of my mind for a couple of weeks. I blame it all on a Dramarama song. But it'll be due around midterms so I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.
Finally, I wanted to say Hi! to my new friends.
