Saw the Whirling Dervishes of Rumi Wednesday night and it was amazing and beautiful and I wish I had my camera so I could at least have video, but I left it on my floor. It was a little longer than I thought, I didn't get home until 10:30 and put in a couple hours study for my Intro to Islam test.
So went to sleep in the wee hours of Thursday morning with a headache and woke up feeling like I had been transported into the next SAW movie and someone was spelunking in my head for the key out of the room. The strongest thing I had was advil, which of course did nothing. Called in sick to work but I felt guilty so I ended up going in anyway only to find out our database was undergoing unexpected updates and the whole system was down, so I couldn't really do anything.
My test went ok...I guess. Don't really remember most of it. I was still tired and nauseous from the headache and couldn't really concentrate on my essays. I hope I did alright.
When I finally got home instead of going to bed like I should've, I did what I always do when I'm agitated or worried-I turn into a 50s housewife. I cleaned, baked 2 dozen cupcakes, mended a pair of jeans-seriously, I did everything except my homework or relax. The cupcakes are for work, either to celebrate Friday the 13th or Valentine's. Although, I think the Care Bear wrappers might lean more towards Valentine's, well unless you watch Robot Chicken. Yes, tis the season to tempt my dieting brethren with baked, sugary goodness! (queue evil laugh)
I wish I could make everyone on my friend's list cupcakes but I kind of want to pass out now. So Happy Friday the 13th (and Pre-Valentine's Day)!!
I think this picture adequately sums up both:
Yeah, I'm morbid but I think it's hilarious =P
