In honor of it being about to be the weekend, links to a collective noun's worth* of videos for songs I currently am having trouble keeping out of my head (you have been warned):
It's been a really, really messed-up week... What time is it where you are? Lookin' into your eyes, I know I'm right... Ah, yes-- the 80s!
I can see... Long-time favorite, due to the prettiness, and the costumes, and the whole idea and look of the piece, really.
No sleep... no sleep until I'm sure of finding the answer You know, there are THREE videos for this song on YouTube, and this is the... least odd. It's also the "official US Version," whatever that means. Seriously- the other two are "the band plays a bunch of bank robbers who go to... steal a safe door? (Isaac: Of course, Miria! If the safe has no door, the bankers won't be able to open it and use the money for unscrupulous real estate transactions!) And then they drag the door down the road to the woods and then there is a police chase with a slightly baffled police dog and then... that's pretty much it. I don' t know what happened to the door. The other video is the band in a room either turning into crows, or being attacked by crows, or having crows ask them for directions... I don't even know.
(and, yes, those are the first lines, not the song titles)
*What would a collective noun for music videos be, anyway....?
