Yesterday I donated blood. I had to lie and tell them that I haven't gotten a tattoo in the past twelve months. It's actually been eleven months and the chances that I have ink poisoning are slim to none... they'll test my blood at the clinic anyway; I'm not harming anyone. Anyway, they use a huge needle and I wasn't really expecting that, but it didn't bother me. What bothered me a little was when the girl first stuck it in and blood spurted at her. It was kind of nasty and for some reason I got a little embarrassed. My blood also stopped a few times and they had to adjust the needle -- turn it around, shove it farther into my vein, etc. -- and it was still moving slowly the whole time. Most people took 10 - 15 minutes to give blood and I was there for over an hour. Good thing they were doing it at my work because my boss didn't care that I was away from my desk for so long since I was doing a good deed. Hehe. They told me the reason my blood was so slow was because I have low blood pressure. It's funny to think most people in my family actually have high blood pressure, and mine's low. I'm a freak. They finally got their pint of blood, plus six vials for testing. If they throw away my precious blood I WILL find them and kill them. I will know. I have a special bond with my blood.
Michael is coming over right now to make barbecued chicken. I am looking very forward to that. I'm getting pretty hungry.
I am converting all of my audio files to MP3 right now so that I can put all of my music on the MP3 player Dave got me for Christmas. I want to have all my music on there so that I never have nothing to listen to while I'm driving across the country to Rhode Island. It'll be good times!
