Feel free to skip this.

Good old LJ. Here one can be terse, or not, as one chooses. I used to try earnestly to put details behind the cut. But it was optional.

Fb and especially Twitter severely limit one's words. I don't always mind that - I find it's generally a much needed exercise in being concise.

But. Still. Maybe it was just all those freaking Victorian novels I had to read in Grad School, but I know how to skip through passages (chapters) that don't grab me. The enforced limits are sometimes tedious.

I just realised how much I like not having to restrain myself to a small # of characters and not even create a cut.

Also, on a completely different note, I wanted to see what the OK Corral image looks like as an icon. I expect the answer will be: not much, too much detail for it to work. Cthulhu seems to fare better shrunk than the FSM, but not well enough. The good news with this experiment is that all the agony of so many previous attempts to upload icons seems to have gone away. This time it worked like it's supposed to. That doesn't bode well.
