More good kitteh news

Cali is still improving. She's been exploring her new world, which is wonderful, but she's so silent that I've had mild collisions with her several times in the last couple of days. Which makes me feel awful, although she doesn't seem to be too rattled. This afternoon, she found a sunbeam on her own, though, which bodes well.

She's nearly finished her medicine, thank goodness. By varying my approach, I've managed to get most doses mostly down her.  I think. Ahhem. She has also started being very good about only peeing in (or mostly in) her litter box. This is extremely welcome, very hoped-for, and fairly unexpected. I have my fingers crossed that this keeps up.

As her continence has improved, she's been allowed on the bed more liberally, although I'm still keeping towels under her as much as possible. She seems to like being on the bed with me, and in fact last night I fell asleep with her on the towel-topped pillow beside me. At some point she got down. She does that fairly well, she just can't get back up. I'm not sure she'll ever be up to jumping, and I'm also wondering if she has some sort of brain injury, because her unsteadiness seems to go beyond mere sickness. A non-fatal encounter with a car at some point is easily imaginable, for instance.

However that may be, she's already getting me pretty well trained.
