ah
So a lot has happened recently. Four key points:
1. My band recorded our demo. We don't have a name, but if you want me to send you the three songs via AIM, lemme know. We lucked out and got to use a recording studio at the film school for four nights for free, which is absolutely unbelievable. It was way fun but I was totally exhausted. And you may not believe this, but our demo was recorded with the same drum set that Weezer used for Pinkerton. Swear on everything. Our drummer bought it off of their website. Crazy.
2. I won the solo division of Spring Sing! It was way exciting and crazy. I totally couldn't believe it, especially since I didn't even think I would get in in the first place. My parents and Linda came, so that was great. She sat with all of the people of my floor, who were beligerently drunk. All the guys took off their shirts, and one guy actually took off his pants and his underwear. They were very excited, apparently. Spring Sing was so much fun, I'm so glad I did it.
3. I went to Coachella and it was amazing. We left right after Spring Sing, so we got about two hours of sleep the first night, and were way tired, but the next day we were better rested and that was good. I saw Aimee and Michael, but there was no cell phone service so it was impossible to call anyone, so most of the time it was just me and Brian, which was cool. I saw a lot of great acts. My favorite shows were the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Zutons, the Go! Team, the Scissor Sisters, and Mates of State. Sorry, I didn't see Tool or Madonna.
4. I went camping this weekend with people on my floor. There were twelve of us at this campsite right past Malibu and the Ventura county line. It was pretty awesome. That's all I'll say.
