Although both Elinor and Marianne Dashwood are (appropriately) recognized as co-heroines of Sense and Sensibility, I would still say that Elinor's forbidden romance with Edward is given slightly more attention than the love triangle between Willoughby, Marianne, and Colonel Brandon. Apart from that I mostly agree. Only to add that even though both books have similar plot points, the motivation behind them often differs and there are enough interesting things between them that make the story enthralling. :D

I agree; those are the only points of similarity I mentioned between the two characters ("incredibly rich but quiet, socially awkward "), as opposed to the plots.
