Hi, and welcome to the community. :)

Best of luck with your story, but I really doubt you would be permitted to publish it. Martin Baynton has said in the past that he intends to publish a JatD novel one day, and as the charaters are his, it's a little dicey to try to profit from his creations. What you can do, though, is post it up at fanfiction(.)net, in the JatD section: http://www.fanfiction.net/cartoon/Jane_and_the_Dragon/10/0/1/1/0/0/0/0/0/1/ Where lots of fans post the stories they write about Jane and Co. without needing to seek permission or stepping into legal hot water. Giving credit is always a good idea though. ;)

As for a JatD avatar, if you go to the icons tag in this community ( http://community.livejournal.com/jandd_fanhq/tag/icons ) you'll find lots of icons to choose from. Just save it to your computer, upload it to somewhere like photobucket.com, go to your user profile page, and you'll see in the top left corner the option to edit your userpics. Just upload the icon you choose, remembering to credit the creator in the 'comment' section.

dude? woaH that sucks that i prob cant publish the book...well, i can still write it. :) lol but thx 4 the comment that u sent me and thx 4 informing me and all that......wOw i'm bummed, tho. it's not like i would try and profit from the book (I would never use that as my motivation or anything) but i understand why m.b. would prob say no and all....but dude that sucks.....;((( *bursts into tears* lol but it's okay....sorta. :) lol well i'll try and write it on a fanfiction page or something....
