Persian poppies
I finished the cowl. I am happy enough with it. I almost opened it up and added more purple section, but after wearing it, I decided to live with it. I'm looking forward to wearing it to my first weaving class tonight.
Having accomplished that, I began my Kaffe Fasset Persian Poppies piece. It's not strictly intarsia like my bag, but kind of like it. Maybe more Fair Isle type of knit. You make up two balls of lengths of colors, one dark, one light and you knit from this. I find the back messy, so I keep ironing it flat to remind myself the finished pattern will look amazing. I thought maybe I'd make it into a pillow cover. The light pinks are the poppy flowers. You can see the wools I'm using in the bowl, a lot of handspun and dyed pieces which I love mixing in.
