For French class, T.R. had to write and illustrate a picture book as an exercise in the use of passé composé and imparfait. I would like to take a moment here to thank Mme. Kulstein and M. Prosek for their excellent instruction (and particularly to Madame for the dictionary). Because of them, I was elected chief proofreader of T.’s book.
What fun! His story is about a dwarf who lives in a French fry. Fries also happen to be his favorite food, so when he runs out of other fries he eats his house and needs a new one. He attempts to live in a variety of other foods until at last he moves into an escargot shell and lives there happily for the rest of his life.
It makes me feel like making a picture book, so maybe I will.
