A "oops, it's a miscommunication" can be something really true and not debatable, but is miscommunication really just so?
Many a times, miscommunication is the result of misinterpreting someone's words. It could possibly be due to the fact that their words are ambiguous, dependent of the situation and the way it is read. But reading something ambiguous into a certain meaning is usually not by pure luck.
Our minds are capable of framing. In regards to miscommunication, to interpret something ambiguous into a certain meaning, we are influenced by different factors, and one possible factor is our own state of mind, our want, our desire.
Perhaps you perceive this ambiguous statement in a certain way because you want it to be so, and without your conscious act of applying that want, you would just interpret it naturally to be so.
I acknowledge that miscommunication is inevitable, a natural process. But I cannot stop myself to wonder why such miscommunication happens. This is a flawed concept, indeed. But so are we - flawed. At least I think I can be guilty of that at times. Do you?
