Prepare for Battle!

A week ago I was leaving Rome. I was unemployed. The summer looked promising. A week later, I'm still unemployed and the summer is beginning to look less and less promising. Other people who have jobs would kill for what I have: all the time in the world to do whatever the F they want. And what have I done to show for it? I spent the week reading The Prisoner of Azkaban, hanging out with Patty, running at South, and scrubbing toilets in my house. I'm livin' the good life. There's a million things I could be doing right now, but instead I'm on LJ. I need to get a life.

Last night was refreshing. I ran a grand total of 35 min. with Vince, Finch, Hank, & Justin. This doesn't include the 10 min. we stopped so they could play king of the mountain and throw rocks at me. Aaaahhh, I didn't realize how much I'd missed a good old-fashioned slack-off day. Afterwards we hung out in the parking lot for a good hour where I received the worst lasagna of my life from Daigle. We watched Master & Commander at my house (Finch, Adam, JT, Hank, Curtis, Patty, Rachael). When I say "watched," I mean that we talked the entire way through and I still have no idea what it was about. Usually when we watch movies over here, everyone stays to talk until at least 4am. But those were back in the glory days. Back before we entered the real world. Back before everyone got jobs. Trawick was the only one that stayed. We played Talking Battleship long into the night. I sunk his battleship (if you know what I mean!) It's about time I played that game with someone besides my mom. I was getting tired of her always kicking my ass and rubbing it in. (You know, Mom, there is such a thing as a sore winner!)
