I'm going to start studying after this. I swear. Last night I chose to sit in my room and watch 4 hours of TV rather than study. I have since unplugged it. You're next, computer. *computer pees pants*
I've had a pretty good last few days. Curt & I had a wet & wild romp through the woods on our run on Sunday. And I made him run ahead of me so I could stare at his tights the whole way. *sigh* "It is so WRONG to do Curtis WRIGHT." Danced to some techno at the Freshman Christmas Party that night with some random people. My boyfriend (I'm not going to name any names) tried breaking up with me a few times. Boys can be so silly sometimes with their cooties and their attempts to break up with me. (It's all good now.) Tuesday was our last day of class. I ran to McT, talked to some of the guys on the track, my muscles got cold, so I got my dad to drive me back. ("Thank you, daddy.") Played Secret Santa with my hall. Received some big gaudy earrings and candy. There's nothing I love more than tacky jewelry. (Except maybe grilled cheese spinwheels. Ain't nothin' wrong with that.) We were the first in line at the Late Night Breakfast. Downed a biscuit, 2 pancakes, tater tots, eggs, and grits in under 5 min. That's gotta be some sort of record. Since I didn't have an exam the next day and everyone else did, Bernie, his friend Lindsay, and I went exploring. We went in the church and went up in the ceiling. It was the coolest thing I've done here. We also played a little frisbee and went in the chapel. I didn't know that all the chapels are open all the time. I'm going to go in there more often. St. Joseph's is really cool at night because all the lights except the Exit signs are off, so the Church has this really eerie green light all around. Awesome. Then yesterday I hung out at Justin's all day. He taught me how to play the Charlie Brown theme song on the piano. That'll come in handy someday.
I talked to my neighbor Jennifer for a long time last night. We both seem to feel exactly the same way about college. Everyone always asks us, "Don't you just love college?!" and we just sort of shrug and nod. There's a lot of things that we both said we disliked about Spring Hill and we thought senior year was the best year of our lives. But we thought the same about 8th grade, and high school definitely topped that. I know college is going to top high school in the end; it's just going to take a little time. We've got 7 semesters left. I know it'll get better and better.
