CHAPTER 12
“Kota, wake up! We’ll be late for the seminar” Kei bangs open his room.
“Five more minutes, we ended talking at 2 am please give the man some rest.” He is whining a little, he hasn't gotten any sleep after their long for nothing call.
“You can have some while on our way. I brought my driver with me.” She is opening his closet, choosing what to wear. Kei blushed when she accidentally pulled open the drawer containing his boxers and underwear’s.
It’s their first day wedding counseling. Everyone who plans on getting married should comply to attend it before marriage. It’s like a talk on what to expect within marriage life. The ups and downs, responsibilities, challenges and family planning etc.
“Hey are you that excited with this seminar thing coz basically it will be boring .” Well as you can see Kota’s really not in the mood. One thing that Kei discovered is that he can be childish despite what he portrays in public.
“Nope, I want to get over it so we can check out my wedding gown and of course your suit. Opppssss, we also need to visit the doll shop for the give -aways.
She keeps talking with her plans when she feels a weight on her lap. There she sees Kota’s head comfortably lying. Caressing his hair as she is in deep thoughts.
“I hope and pray that sooner I can return your love. Move on and have a happy family with you. I’m trying my best to forget him but it’s so hard. He’s my life, my world revolves around him, I saw no one but him. So please bear with me. I want to work this out.”
She feels more pressure on her lap. Kota reaches for her hand, kissed and tucking it under his neck. She was stunned, she thought he was awake and heard her but not and Kei’s glad.
They arrive at the parish center with lots of couples. First day is always the orientation day so they proceed to their seats at the back. Seats are divided into 2 columns and as they we walk, their eyes met but Kei pretended not seeing him, holding tighter on Kota’s arm.
“Good morning couples, I’m brother Philips. For our first day, we can introduce ourselves and after this group seminar you can approach the secretary for your individual counseling. Okay now let’s start from the couples in my left side.”
“ Hi good morning, my name is Kento and my future wife Marie.”
“Hello, I’m Kota and my fiance Kei.” He held her right hand kissing it for everyone to see.
“Okay, we have a sweet couple here. Let’s proceed to the next pair in my right.”
“Glad to be here, my name is Jessi and this beautiful lady over here is my Yuka.”
“Hi, my name is Yuya and she’s Makiko.”
Kota never left his gaze from Kei from the first time he noticed the other guy’s presence in the same area observing her reaction. He saw how her eyes were filled with emotions.
“Hey, are you okay?” Holding both her hands to ease her anxiety.
“Yeah, don’t worry about me. We’re here for our wedding, let’s focus on that.”
“After this we can go to the amusement park.”
“Really?! Let’s go! Let’s go!” Kei’s eyes glitters with eagerness.
“Sssssshhhhhhh……calm down you sound like a kid you’re getting married.
“Kota between us, you are more childish”
“Couples at the back, mind doing that at break time? We don’t want to be infested by ants.” Brother Philips can help but to notice them. They are whispering like high school kids sharing secrets.
Rapidly, the seminar comes to an end. They are walking to the car park but a pair of eyes keeps on following them.
“Yuya, we have to go.”Makaki will always be Makiko, demanding as ever.
Inside the car is full of awkward silence.
“She’s happy now. She’s getting married and as for you, you have me and we’re having a baby so forget her. I need you, we need you”
“I know.”
Of all the places Makiko never expected that they will see each other today. She knows that part of Yuya still longs for Kei but he’s bounded with his responsibility to her. She knows that before the baby their relationship was just for fun. She loves him and she did everything so that Yuya will notice her. She said that she didn't care even if Yuya has Kei, she can share. And that was the start of their affair.
A/N Due to the typhoon that hit our country, everything is a mess. Until now we are still coping from the damages that happened.
For more than a week we didn't have electricity and communication was really limited. In some places, their houses were totally eradicated, source of income destroyed and lives taken. Until now some of the areas don't have electricity, limited food supply also health deteriorating.
To the fans all over the world let as hold hand as we rise up from the challenge.
