CHAPTER 10
“Mom, dad I……. agree with the wedding arrangement”
“Good, now that you came into your senses. I’ve prepared the guest-“
“Wait dad, let me and Yabu take care of the preparations. It’s our wedding and we talked that it should be as private as possible. We don’t want a grand celebration.” Knowing her father, he would make it as the wedding of the year. Two of the most influential family in Japan celebrating not only the wedding but it also means the merger of the two companies.
“Well then if that’s what you want but we’ve decided that the wedding will be two weeks from now. We’ll let you decide for the specific date.” Her father really knows how to monopolize her life from time to time.
During the planning Kota and Kei met with the wedding coordinator/planner and during those meeting they never failed to clash ideas. They keep on arguing in every single detail like who’s to be invited, the church (they both decided to have a church wedding, wedding souvenirs, even the cake’s design flavor and layers, etc.
“I told you to use those flowers of yours for your bouquet and decorations.”
“Don’t you dare touch my flowers!!!”
“Look at this way, you can have your personal touch in our wedding, plus we can save a lot of money” Yabu was being realistic and those flowers aren’t meant for the four walls of that basement. They should be flaunting around and this would be the right time.
“You’re damn rich and your talking of saving money?! I said NO and that’s final. Should we proceed on the wedding dress and motif?”
“Oh yeah right, I think……this looks good on you” proudly showing the design but a death glare was given to him.
“What?” innocently eyeing his soon to be wife.
“Are you trying to be funny Huh?! Yabu Kota?! It’s our wedding you stupid not a party!”
“But this definitely suits you. See it’s a v-neck off shoulder dress with long vertical holes on both side from below the breast down to give an illusion of body curvature. There is nothing to see on the front so don’t worry for being scandalous or what. I mean me myself couldn’t actually differentiate the back side from the front side.
“Are you trying to start a fight?! You walking stick!” what is he trying to imply that I’m flat chested?!
“Mamamamama………..stop it you two, I think let’s call it a day. Everyone needs a break right minna?” it was Chinen who stopped the bickering but actually, its fun to see them arguing.
“Jaa, ikou ka? I wanna eat pasta” he was looking for pasta since morning unfortunately Kei came too early for his breakfast and end up eating in a fast food which he really hates. As much as possible he eats organic freshly cooked food with no preservatives.
“But I wanna eat ramen………” She’s whining like a spoiled a babe.
“Kei, it’s dinner time, ramen would be heavy meal” he’s not a heavy eater especially at night since he’ll only sleep after.
“Are you a girl on diet? Look at yourself, you’re too skinny and for you information they are both carbohydrates” being stubborn while being cute on those pouting lips caught Kota’s heart.
“Oh yeah? Look who’s talking if I’m skinny then you’re skin and bones” she gave up palming her face sighing for his stupidity. She now wonders what those girls saw to make them gaga over him.
“You’re hopeless Kota and as a matter of fact I eat a lot. It’s not my fault I have a fast metabolism.”
“Fine but I still wanna eat pasta. Tomorrow I’ll treat you wherever ramen store you like okay?” bribing was his only way out to get what he wanted
“You also need to buy me a lot of chocolate and gyoza for Chii. Oh I almost forgot, we still need to attend the seminar tomorrow at night 9am” believe it or not she’s having fun with the entire planning thing.
“Oh yeah right forgot bout that, jaa ikou?” extending his arm smiling to Kei that she gladly accepted. Hand and hand they left, leaving behind Chinen who’s somewhat happy to see her best friend coming back bit by bit to her old self after a broken heart she just wish that would be the last.
